Respected Prime Minister,
You must be aware that renowned Rationalist and Founder President of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samitee (MANS) Dr. Narendra Dabholkar was brutally murdered in Pune on 20th August 2013. Dr. Narendra Dabholkar dedicated whole of his life for inculcating scientific temperament in the society for the values described in the Indian Constitution. He was also founder member and editor of Sadhana weekly for 12 years which is a renowned magazine dedicated for social reforms in Maharashtra established by Sane Guruji.
Though thirty five months have been passed there is no progress in the investigation. We strongly feel that the murders of rationalist Comrade Govind Pansare in Kolhapur seventeen months back and Prof. Dr. M. M. Kalburgi in Dharwad eleven month back could have been prevented if the murderers of Dr. Narendra Dabholkar were nabbed in time.
We want to bring to your notice that the neglect of Dr. Narendra Dabholkar murder case by CBI. If we compare just the manpower allotted to Dr. Narendra Dabholkar case, vise a vise cases like Sheena Bora and Vyapam the neglect is evident. In sharp contrast to these cases, Dr. Narendra Dabholkar murder case there are only four officers of CBI in the investigating team despites of the repeated requests by the family to increase the manpower.
Hence we sincerely urge you that, Dr. Narendra Dabholkar murder case which should be supervised by the joint director level officer posted in Mumbai or Pune.
We also want to bring to your notice the stern action government of Bangaldesh has taken against the peace TV and Mr. Zakir Naik in reference to the lack of action against the hate mongering articles in the mouth piece of Sanatan Santha & Hindu Janjagaran Samitee and also on their website. As all the investigating agencies are pointing fingers towards these organizations as prime suspects, we urge you to take legal action against Daily Sanatan Prabhat and their website.
We also want to bring to your attention the extreme delay caused by National Investigative agency (NIA) in investigation of Madgaon Bomb blast in 2009. Four sadhak of Sanatan Santha & Hindu Janjagaran Samitee namely Rudra Patil, Sarang Akolkar, Pravin Limbkar and Jayprakash Hegade are prime suspects of NIA from this case are absconding since 2009 till date. Their names are repeatedly mentioned as suspects in the investigation of above three murders. We request you to ask NIA to fast track the investigation of Madgaon bomb blast case in light of the new evidence coming forward form the investigation of Dr. Narendra Dabholkar case.
It’s really disappointing that despite of repeated efforts our delegation of family members of Dr. Narendra Dabholkar and office bearers of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samitee (MANS) have not succeeded in getting your appointment. We sincerely urge you to give an appointment to our delegation at earliest, so we can bring the delay in the investigation to your notice in person.
We also want to bring it to your notice the support to organizations suspected by the state in Dr. Narendra Dabholkar, Comrade Govind Pansare and Prof. Dr. M. M. Kalburgi murder case, are getting support by certain members of your ruling party in Maharashtra. We urge you to direct Chief Minister of Maharashtra to look into this matter urgently and also give directions to your party workers about not supporting such anti constitutional forces which are supporting violence on the name of religion.
We sincerely urge you to urgently look into the matter so no more murders of rationalist happen in this country and the people who take law in their hands are dealt firmly.
