Textile Workers Strike in Bombay of Feb-March 1966 | S.G. Sardesai

The 1966 general strike of over two hundred thousand textile workers of Bombay embracing all the sixty mills in the city, started from the morning of February 28th, The call for the strike had been given after prolonged campaigning and pre­parations by the Mumbai Girni Kamgar Union, affiliated to the All-India Trade Union Congress.
