WAF Mourns I.A.Rehman

13th April 2021

WAF mourns the passing away of Mr I. A. Rehman, human rights champion, a visionary, fount of knowledge, the voice of sanity and a friend of the wronged and violated. A
renowned journalist, political analyst, the go to person for advice and support, Rehman Sahib was a great supporter of the women’s movement and WAF. He was the moving spirit
behind the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan that he served and led in different capacities. For many WAF members he was a mentor and a friend, available at the shortest of notices to discuss an issue, give advice and above all to listen and share a joke. He will be remembered for his unstinting commitment to principles of human rights, for his gentle and kind nature, his modesty and also for his sense of humour.

WAF expresses its deepest condolences to his family and friends and joins them in this time of loss and grief.
