Press Release

PMANE Condemns the Dinamalam Viewspaper for Anti-Christian Innuendos, Lies and Propaganda

The People’s Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE) condemns the Dinamalam (Daily Shit) viewspaper for printing baseless, tasteless and crooked views as news reports. This yellow daily has no principles or morals or journalistic ethos and works against the interests and values of the Tamil society.

In a sly report under the caption “Foreign Money for Anti-nuclear Activists Revealed: Shocking Information from Enquiry of NGOs†in its issue dated January 17, 2012, this wasteful viewspaper has claimed that some Christian NGOs that have alleged links with us have received 54 crores of rupees from the United States. This brainless and spineless viewspaper has not given any kind of evidence or proofs for its filthy findings or crappy claims.

Of course, no intelligent and decent human being would take any of the smelly Dinamalam waste seriously. On November 24, 2011, this paper published a story with the home address, phone numbers, mobile numbers and email addresses of three leading PMANE activists on its front page and provoked its readers to harass and threaten them and their family members. The PMANE has filed complaints with the Press Council of India, Tamil Nadu State Human Rights Commission and the National Human Rights Commission and has sought legal remedy against the criminal gang that edits, prints and publishes this Daily xxit!

Now the Dinamalam has spit more venom and vomit on its pages mentioning the names of some reputed Christian NGOs and giving the email address of the Coordinator of the PMANE. Obviously, this shameless and strife-torn media company has no scruples and acts on someone else’s behest for some ulterior motives and profits.

We condemn the Dinamalam’s gross disrespect and disregard for the Tamil people’s feelings, sentiments and interests. We also condemn the attitude of this Fascist Dinamalam towards Christians and their institutions and the welfare of other minority communities. The PMANE requests the Tamil society to shun this obscene publication which is as dangerous and harmful as nuclear power.

Unlike the Fascist Dinamalam, the PMANE functions with a set of solid Gandhian principles and we have not received any funding whatsoever from any Indian or international NGOs.
