Workers demonstration at the Delhi Secretariat on 6 February 2014. Most the corporate media channels and newspapers have not covered this significant event, which was hitherto the largest demonstration at Delhi Secretariat after formation of AAP’s government. The AAP govt openly turned its back on its own promise of abolition of Contract System. Labour Minister Girish Soni said that since Anti-Contract System Legislation will be harmful to factory-owners and contractors, the AAP govt will not present such a legislation in the Delhi Assembly. It is noteworthy that Mr. Soni himself owns and runs a factory which employs contract labour.
