There must be distributive justice in the matter of sharing of resources. Real development must not devastate lives of the marginalised, recklessly poach upon scarce resources like land and water and lay waste to the environment.

8 January 2020A six-member team of PUDR conducted a four-day fact-finding from 16-19 December 2019 into the incidents of police brutalities at the campus of Jamia Milia Islamia University on 13 and 15 December 2019. The brutalities happened in the context of protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019, passed by the Parliament on 11 December 2019. ; Statement by PUDR ... PUDR strongly condemns the violence unleashed by right-wing hoodlums inside Jawaharlal Nehru University campus on the evening of 5 January 2019. A group of around 100 masked goons carrying rods, hammers, canes/lathis among other weapons barged into the closed campus in the evening and violently assaulted students and professors.
