This collection is dedicated to Aron Baron, an anarchist executed by the Bolshevik regime in 1937, and in general, anarchistic perspectives on these events are well represented in Bloodstained. Within the essays (including the essays by council communists), antistate and anti-Bolshevik stances predominate. The October Revolution is depicted as the seizure and suffocation of popular revolutionary organs and structures like the soviets, factory committees, and cooperatives by Lenin and the Bolsheviks.
