We, citizens of India, are deeply concerned at the recent escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan, and at the climate of intolerance that is developing around it. . . . We appeal to the governments on both sides to refrain from further hostilities, overt or covert, and to resolve their differences within the framework of international law and human rights.

The breach of airspace, in the context of a conflict between two nuclear-weaponised countries, clearly constitutes the crossing of a long established redline.
The wisdom underlying the convention has been chillingly demonstrated by way of Pakistan, almost immediately, following the Indian lead.
