It is a matter of serious concern that more than hundred fishermen from India have been arrested by the Pakistan’s Maritime Security Agency (MSA) on March 25, 2017. Along with this, 19 fishing boats have also been seized.

27 March 2017It should have been an open and shut case, but five months after 13-year-old Aradhana Samdariya died after a 68-day fast in Hyderabad, the police find they have to drop the case against those responsible for lack of evidence. The police have either been extremely shoddy in their work or are acting under pressure from the powerful Jain clergy, which sanctioned the little girl’s fast in the first place.

The serious task of curriculum framing and introducing changes should be left to those with domain knowledge, not an ideological outfit.
