It is clear that the police and the state have been systematically targeting these public intellectuals and political activists since the time they wrote a fact-finding report on the repressive state machinery.

8 November 2016Right to Food Campaign strongly condemns the violence unleashed by the Jharkhand Government on tribals which has resulted in the deaths of 7 persons and injuring more than 80 persons in the last two months. Adding on to the suffering of the people, large numbers of innocent people have also been arrested, criminalising people’s peaceful resistance movements and undermining democracy.
