CERAS (Centre sur l’asie du sud) condemns in unequivocal and categorical terms the murder of over 150 people, mostly children, in the attack on the school in Peshawar by the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan, Pakistani Taliban, on Tuesday, 16th December. That a school should be targeted shows the moral bankruptcy of the Pakistani Taliban. And that other militant groups have chosen to condone this attack shows that they share this depraved logic.
Pakistan’s mainstream politicians have intentionally promoted conspiracy theories in order to thwart the possibility of developing a national consensus against terrorism.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its sister organizations are acting swifty to brain-wash school kids with their hatred filled fascist ideology in the name of Indian culture. They are re-writing books of school kids in which they claim that all the scientific discoveries were already discovered in ancient India by making ridiculous analogies with Indian mythological books. This systematic destruction of education will affect our present and future generations very adversely.
