Version imprimableEnglish literature has been a unique site for politicisation by feminism. Drawing on the author’s involvement as a teacher in Delhi University, the essay examines the trajectories of teaching literature in the classroom, the kinds of contestations and transgressions that the women’s movement and women’s studies initiated, and the influence of English studies across and beyond the disciplines.
