The oldest nation-state of South Asia must be allowed its own space to implement its new Constitution, which for all its weaknesses has progressive elements, from institutionalising the republic and secularism, to conferring several social and economic rights on its people

Catchnews video: With nearly eight years of effort, Nepal has finally promulgated a new Constitution. Nepal, a Hindu monarchy for 239 years has now chosen to be a Secular Democratic Republic. While the adoption of a new Constitution should have been a joyous occasion for all Nepalese, half the country is up in arms against it.
