Statement on Attack on Iran
Pakistan India People’s Forum for Peace and Democracy, which met on Saturday evening [Feb 28, 2026], condemns the attack on Iran by the combined forces of the United States and the Netanyahu regime in Israel.
The attack and Iran’s response bring the febrile region and the world to the verge of a global war.
The attack has been a rude awakening, for the Indian people had been lulled into believing that the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel and his address to the Knesset had been helpful in furthering the cause of peace in a region which remains shell-shocked with the massive toll and devastation in Gaza by the two-and-a-half-year aggression by Israel.
The people of India call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and restoration of peace in the region.
